We are totally commited to improving the lives of children & young people in Wolverhampton.
WFRC offers an inclusive service providing after school & holiday activities for children and young people who are 5 – 19 years old.
Children & Young People’s support & empowerment: The Club A2S (Arise To Shine) provides recreational activities such as dancing, drama, singing, poetry, debate, sports & holiday activities for children.
Girls Self-Esteem & Leadership Workshops: These workshops are held during weekends or school holidays to support girls from 8 to 18 years old building their self-esteem and leadership skills with activities based around the six domains of resilience.
Youth Mental Health Workshops: These are fun, educative and interactive mental health awareness workshops for young girls. Each workshop has activities based around or with the inclusion of confidence building and empowerment, school life & peer pressure, depression, money matters, self-image & the role of social media on mental health.
Young people are actively involved in all aspects of decision-making and they engage in and deliver projects, workshops and activities, gain new experiences and access support around social issues which impact on their lives. We use social education practices, which enable young people to learn, grow and challenge in a safe and secure environment.
