Every Woman’s Chat Group

Since 2012, the primary aim of our ‘Every woman’s chat group’ has been to help women to improve their mental and emotional health and well-being.  We recognise the effects that poverty, abuse, discrimination, social isolation, long term health issues, financial pressure, unemployment, immigration and other issues have on our overall wellbeing. Our work seeks to counter these issues that are usually linked to mental ill-health by improving awareness and understanding of mental health and normalising mental health conversations through our chat groups.

Women generally report that coming out to do positive activities improves their self-confidence, mental and emotional health. Some have described the centre as a space where their concerns, practicalities and stresses of everyday life are temporarily suspended. Many also create new friends and therefore reduce their sense of isolation, thereby, improving their general mental & emotional health & wellbeing.

Our main aim is to facilitate the integration of women into the community whilst empowering them to identify their own needs.
