Every day, we depend on the financial generosity of this community to keep our doors open. Your gift allows us to continue providing free services to individuals in their darkest hours.
If every parent, every mother, every dad & grandparent, joined our fight to give every child a great start to life, We would never need funding again!
From clothes and accessories to household items, toys and more…. We need your unwanted items to help fund our vital projects.
We can pick up heavy or bulky items from your home for free. The items you donate are then sold in our stores to help fund our projects.
The Women & Families Resource Centre is only able to help families in our community through the support of people like you!

How it works
You can request a free donation collection using our online form here if you have 3 or more bags or bulky items. You will need to tell us:
• what items you would like to donate
• your preferred collection date
• where we will be collecting from
• your contact details.
Request a free donation collection here.
We will then contact you within 5 working days to agree on a collection date. This service is currently for collecting large items or bulky donations. We can accept bags and boxes of other small items, but only if you are also donating lots of household items or more than 2 bags of donations. You must also live within 10 miles of Wolverhampton.
To donate bags or boxes of clothes, toys and smaller items, you can:
Drop your items off at our shop on 39-41 School Street or
Post your items for free.
Before you start
To cover the cost of our collection service and raise funds, we need to be able to sell the items you donate in our shops. Our van team will not accept items that cannot be sold or distributed to clients.
This means items:
• should not have obvious stains, rips, marks or odours
• must work (particularly electrical items)
• must have all parts in place.
• must meet legal and health and safety standards and also be in good condition.
Thank you so much for your support. It wouldn’t be possible to help women & families in need without your incredible support.
If you are a UK tax payer we can increase the value of your donated goods through the Government’s Gift Aid scheme. This means that everything that we sell which falls under that scheme is worth an extra 25% to us.
In real terms that means if we sell an item for £5 we can claim an extra £1.25 from the Government and it costs you nothing extra. The extra money helps us to support the people in our community who need our services and it means that we can continue to offer those services free of charge.
When you donate items we will ask you to complete a Gift Aid form. If you are eligible to take part in this scheme please take an extra 5 minutes to complete it. You will be issued with a donor number which you can produce each time you donate and you will only have to fill the form in once. Please help us to help our community.
